We recommend booking during our busiest times (weekends, school holidays, Christmas) to ensure you can paint with us at your preferred time, although we will always do our best to accommodate walk-ins. To book, please phone the shop on 01423 524797 for the quickest response, email us at info@pots2go.co.uk, message us on Facebook or Instagram or complete our website enquiry form with an indication of when you would like to come in, what activity you are wanting to do and how many adults and children the booking will be for.

Unlike most pottery painting studios, we don’t impose time limits and there is no set duration for your visit – we believe creativity shouldn’t be rushed and we allow you to take as long as you like (within reason!). We can also adapt the shop layout to various table configurations, to suit all varieties of group size, and therefore need to be far more flexible than a rigid online booking system could allow. We also don’t like to ask for deposits upfront (except with large groups), which would be necessary with an online booking system due to an inevitable number of no-shows!

After you've painted with us, your pottery is usually ready to collect between 10-14 later, with the exception of our busiest times such as Christmas and School Holidays when turnaround can take a bit longer – you will be advised by our staff members at the time of painting when your items should be ready for collection. If you need an item sooner, please discuss this with a member of staff before commencing painting - a fast-track kiln pass is available for a small additional cost, and your item(s) will be available for collection within 5 working days (sometimes even the following day!). It is not possible to collect your item(s) later the same day, as all items are glazed by hand, dried and fired over a 22-hour kiln cycle.

No! Unlike most pottery cafés, we do not charge you for your time spent painting in our shop, or for non-painters who might be attending with you. Prices are calculated per item - painting is free!

Yes! All our paints are child-friendly, non-toxic and washable.

Yes! We can send your items to you via Royal Mail. Delivery costs are calculated by the size and weight of the parcel. Estimates can be given in the shop when you arrive. All of your items are bubble wrapped and very carefully packaged in reinforced boxes to ensure they arrive with you in perfect condition. Please note that we can’t accept liability for any damage to items caused by the postal service.

Yes! We have a wide variety of delicious hot and cold beverages to choose from, including speciality coffees and teas, hot chocolate (including our very popular deluxe hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows), milkshakes, fruit juices and soft drinks which can be ordered at any time during your visit. Snacks are also available. Please note that food and drink purchased elsewhere is not permitted (with the exception of baby food or specific dietary requirements).

Yes, to avoid a build-up of pottery we ask that you make every effort to collect your pottery within three months from the date you painted, during which time various reminders will be sent by text at periodic intervals. After three months, if we haven’t had any response from you, Pots2Go reserves the right to dispose of your pottery. We do offer postage for a small additional cost, or you can arrange for someone else to collect pottery on your behalf if you are unable to come yourself.

Unlike most pottery painting studios, we don’t impose any time limits on you – we believe that creativity shouldn’t be rushed, and we allow you to paint with us for as long as you like (within reason!). Generally, we find that younger children will take approx. 30-45 minutes, older children will take 1-2 hours and adults will often take 2+ hours. You are also welcome to come back and finish your items free of charge during our off-peak times (peak times are weekends and school holidays) within a month of starting your piece. A studio fee would apply if you needed more than one return visit to finish your item, or if you could only return during peak times.

Yes! We have baby changing facilities on our first floor within our customer bathroom.

The main shop floor is wheelchair accessible. Our upstairs space and customer bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, however, there is a wheelchair accessible toilet one minute away from the shop in the Victoria Shopping Centre on Station Parade.

Yes, our next Adults’ Evenings will take place on Friday 11th September 2026, 7-9.30pm. Please see our Events page for full details, and sign up to our newsletter and/or follow us on social media to be kept up to date with news of any upcoming workshops and events.

We invite adults to book a table, gather a group of friends or family together, and enjoy a perfect evening of pottery painting, with your own choice of food and drink. Each evening has 13 tables available for differing group sizes. You are welcome to bring whatever food and drink you like, and there’s also the option to purchase snacks and a variety of hot and cold soft drinks from ourselves throughout the evening.

Get in touch via email - info@pots2go.co.uk - to enquire about our next planned evening, or call us on 01423 524797 during opening hours to enquire or to book a table.

We absolutely welcome well-behaved dogs. Any dogs that are particularly large or are unlikely to behave can enter the shop, but at the owner’s risk, as any breakages need to be paid for in full. We reserve the right to ask you to remove your dog if it is causing issues for other customers.

We are a ceramic café, offering a range of hot and cold drinks, as well as snacks, and as such we ask that customers please do not bring in their own food and drink, with the exception of baby food and specific dietary requirements. You are allowed to bring your own alcoholic drinks, subject to a small corkage charge dependent on the size of your group (glasses and recycling service provided).

We look forward to welcoming you! Your voucher will have an amount and an expiry date on it, as well as a reference code. You are welcome to walk in or book a table ahead, if you know when you would like to redeem it. Your voucher can be used towards anything in the shop, including drinks and snacks. Please ensure that your voucher is valid before you start painting, and please note that any ceramic vouchers will have been issued from our previous shop on Montpellier Parade, and are no longer valid (despite having no visible expiry date!).

Yes, we have free Wi-Fi for customers to use throughout the shop.
